As from the 21st December 2001 all Recruitment Agencies must follow the strict Codes of the Privacy Act. To help you understand the Act and Alseasons¹ compliance please read the following.
What personal information does the organisation collect? Is any of the information sensitive? The information Alseasons requires is for the purpose of placing candidates in casual positions and are as follows:
Details of your experience in a resume format with written references.
Bank details and tax file number for the purpose of payments to casual workers. Some form of identification to comply with the Department of Immigration. Information of any offences relating to children or minors. Any injuries, illness or disabilities. For Permanent Positions Alseasons does not require information relating to TFN's or bank details. Alseasons will collect the information in the following ways. E-mail application form. Resumes and CV¹s by fax or post. Or in person. All candidates are required to complete the appropriate application form We will store information collected. In our casual and or permanent candidate database. The application form, photocopies of visas, resumes and associated paperwork is in security storage for a period of 7 years Who within Alseasons has access to the personal information it holds and who actually needs to have access to the information: Booking Co-ordinator Managers, Payroll Manager, Manager of the Recruitment Departments. We undertake every precaution to protect the personal information we hold from unauthorised access. When will I know that you are collecting information about me? At the time of registration, all the information required by Alseasons is entered by you on an Alseasons application form. And when you fax, post or email your resume To assist with placing you in permanent positions and or casual assignments, Alseasons may disclose the following information: Area you live in, your skills, qualifications and certificates acquired. In the case of a permanent position a resume will be required by the client Alseasons may have to give access to your information outside the organisation. Information collect by Alseasons has to be available to certain government and legal bodies. The request for any information is to be in writing or by special appointment Will your personal information be accurate, complete and up to date? It is imperative for Alseasons to have the most current and up to date information, therefore it is in your interest to inform Alseasons of any changes.
