Team Update May 2016

2016 is a very exciting year for Alseasons, celebrating 40 years of success!

Alseasons was founded and is operated run to this day by Managing Directors: Audrey Wynn and Paul Austin. Alseasons is more than just a business, it’s a family and birthdays are for celebrating with family. Our birthday celebrations are going to continue throughout the year and we will continue to keep you posted regarding our planned celebrations and yes…there will be gifts!

Melbourne branch launch

To celebrate or 40th birthday, we’ve launched our new Melbourne Branch.Encouraged by our NSW clients who have outlets, branches or head offices in Victoria, we have launched Alseasons Melbourne; same company, different location. As I write this newsletter, our Melbourne Manager, Rhondda Everingham, who returned to her favourite city to open our Victorian branch, is already offering Melbourne the service that they have been waiting for from Alseasons Hospitality Staff.

Alseasons’ social committee

Martin is heading up the social committee for Alseasons and he’s in charge of planning this year’s birthday celebrations for both clients and staff.

Client Party

Our Client party will be held on Monday 26th September and we are looking for volunteers to help with the service on the night. If you would like to give a helping hand serving our clients on this fabulous night, please let Martin know.

Annual Awards

Our annual Awards Party 2016 (similar to the Logies) will be held at the Tipple Bar in July so keep an eye out for the invitation and remember invitations are on reward points so keep doing a great job for our clients. For the newcomers, you may not get enough points for an invite so we are rewarding a 100 points to each staff member when they obtain their Police Check and Working with Children Check, so you can be assured of an invite to this great party with, yes, lots of gifts and prizes.

Staff Party October 16th

Will be our Family Fun Day - a BBQ party for everyone at Federal Park, Glebe Foreshore. Martin is THE party man and has loads of fun and games in store for you and will keep you updated throughout the year on his plans.

New look web page

We are firm believers in updating, refreshing and modernising our business systems and culture by staying true to our core beliefs. We’ve seen many changes over the past 40 years but quality work and professional service are still the foundations that separate Alseasons from other agencies.

In line with our progressive philosophy, we have redesigned and modernised our web page, making it user friendly with relevant and up to date information. We have had just on 26,000 people visit our site in the last 4 months since it went live. Keep an eye on the jobs page for exciting permanent roles for yourself or family and friends.

New faces to our office

Still Celebrating our birthday we decided to extend the family - Big welcome to two new faces on our booking office team - Paula and Sam.

Paula joins us after she fell in love with what we do during her 7 years as a client with Trippas White Group as Assistant Manager at Centennial Parklands Dining initially and as Venue Manager at The Scots College most recently. Paula’s specialty has always been events and the delivery of exceptional service across the board.

Sam has 6 years background working in hospitality, starting out as a glass hand then working his way up into management, working across several different venues, including clubs, pubs and restaurant environments. Sam’s skill set covers Venue, Cellar and Operations management.

Online Workplace Health & Safety

Our new online and interactive WHS induction is another positive step towards ensuring that every Alseasons team member has been instructed in safety and care in the workplace.

On a personal note from Audrey

I am sure this year will be one of “thank you’s” to the many people both team members, staff and clients that have made it possible for Alseasons to reach this landmark in our Company history. As l look back when Alseasons was first growing and evolving into a service industry for both staff and clients, the business element was based on “lets give our staff and clients an unbeatable experience of service, friendship and reliability”.

We never set deadlines to say when we get to here, let’s do this and when we get to there, let’s do that; our philosophy was always based on let’s do a great job each and every time.

To achieve this, we recruited staff who are like-minded and believed in the company’s morality and ethics that would see our vision and fulfil our company’s mission statement.

I am sure there will be plenty of time to reflect on the past, the now, and the future, and what I can see right now is Alseasons staying true to our passion for Extraordinary Customer Service.
